Me? Posting on the blog? I remember her! Hello, everyone! I'm so sorry we haven't posted in so long. School has been crazy, and I haven't had much time. I just had a strong desire to post.
But never fear . . . we have still been reading!
Last time I posted, I was reading the first book in the Mortal Instruments series. It was slow going at the beginning, but I finished it really fast once I got to the third book, City of Glass. And I loved it! The Mortal Instruments is one of my favorite series! I will be sharing some of my favorites about this series.

WARNING: If you have not read the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare (or watched Shadowhunters) and you plan to read (or watch) it sometime in your life, then please stop reading this. The last thing I want to do is spoil it for you!
Favorite Character: My favorite character is Magnus Bane. I can't say this enough; I love Magnus Bane. He is just amazing. He is the High Warlock of Brooklyn, and he doesn't follow any rules. He likes to live on the edge, which is the reason he was banned from Peru (but that's another story). He is a very powerful warlock. Magnus also loves glitter, makeup, and has a unique sense of style, and I just love that about him. Here's a picture so you can see how awesome he looks.

See what I mean? More facts about Magnus: he loves cats and has been known to throw parties for Chairman Meow, he's bisexual, he's hundreds of years old (I have no idea how old he is. In the books, he's 800 or something, but in the show, he's 400, so I have no idea), and he's awesome. Did I say that? Yes? Okay.
Other awesome characters are Alec Lightwood, Isabelle Lightwood, Simon Lewis, Jace (last name uncertain, actually), and Clary Fray (in order).
Favorite Ship: This is a slightly harder decision to make. Clace (Clary and Jace) is definitely a spectacular couple. They are so perfect for each other, and I would never ship either of them with anyone else. But there is another ship, an even more adorable one, that consists of my top two favorite characters in the series. *hushed anxious murmurs* That's right. My favorite ship in the series is Malec! Malec consists of Magnus Bane (described above) and Alec Lightwood. Malec is an enormous favorite in the Mortal Instruments/Shadowhunters fandom. I love everything about Malec. Poor Alec was in love with Jace, his parabatai. Parabatai are forbidden to have a romantic relationship, and he knew Jace could never love him like that. Also, being gay is frowned upon by the Clave, which is basically the council of Shadowhunters. So things are not going so well for Alec until he meets Magnus! Well, I'm not going to summarize their relationship, because that would take a long time. But by the way, if you love Malec, be sure to watch Shadowhunters, because I like their relationship much better in the show. (Plus there's more of it.) I will leave you with this picture of them.

Whoops, I put two. Oh dear.
Other awesome ships: Clace (Clary and Jace), Sizzy (Simon and Isabelle, and Saia (Simon and Maia). These are not the best ship names, but . . . oh well.
Favorite Book: I would have to say my favorite book is the last one, City of Heavenly Fire. I loved it so much! Jace finally learned to control his heavenly fire, so he and Clary could finally kiss! (Long story.) And Alec's character is so awesome in the last book. He's really sassy and hilarious! Believe me, in City of Bones, Alec was about as far from sassy and hilarious as you could be. Also, Simon and Izzy finally "dtr"ed, as they called it (defined the relationship). They are a really adorable couple. As for Malec, well, they weren't even together at all until the end, but it was so worth it! When Alec thought Magnus would have to die . . . I almost cried because it was so sweet. I really didn't like how it ended for poor Simon, but at least Magnus got to live. (I need to read Tales of Shadowhunter Academy, because Simon trains as a Shadowhunter! Yay!) And all drama with Sebastian- that was good stuff. What if he had been born a normal Shadowhunter in the first place? Everything would have been so different from the very beginning. I definitely think about this a lot.

That is all! We will try our best to post more on the blog. Thanks so much for reading!
